Sushi Axiom on Cedar Springs to close Monday
Teresa Gubbins says:
Boy, that wasn't there long.
Plagued space will become Monica Greene's Tajin, Arnold says.
lakewoodhobo, anonymous:
Fin and Axiom were the exact same restaurant. They just changed the name hoping to attract the Sushi Axiom crowd, but clearly that wasn't enough.
Now Monica Greene has a great opportunity to bring back the days of Ciudad, which I hear was amazing back in the day.

Teresa Gubbins, staff:
lakewoodhobo, thank you for your comment. i agree that Ciudad was amazing; did you never make it there?
meanwhile, the official press release follows:
Sushi Axiom Cedars Springs shuts its doors today, April 30, 2012. Combined with the adjacent space, the restaurant will reopen as a yet to be named Mexican concept restaurant. This is the combined decision of the owners of Sushi Axiom and their business partner in this venture, Monica Green. The adjacent space was originally slated by the owners of Sushi Axiom and Monica Green to open as a Mexican restaurant, Tajin. After much consideration all involved came to the conclusion that combining the spaces made the most sense from a business standpoint. Patrons may visit the nearby Henderson Location that features the newly opened A Lounge. Additionally, Sushi Axiom Addison will open in the space previously occupied by Cyclone Anaya's off Belt Line and Montfort late summer of 2012.

Loved Ciudad. I also liked her Pegaso which came and went way to fast.
