Marvin Hamlisch, the DSO’s principal pops conductor, has died

He composed the score for The Chorus Line, as well as scores for many movies. He performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra last in June.

The DSO says the three concerts scheduled with Hamlisch for the 2012-2013 season will continue as planned. Guest conductors to be announced will take Hamlisch's place.
