I agree that that is way too much $$. How is the City of Dallas involved in this - perhaps they can give a breakdown of the costs. Just can't see how it could be that much.

The city shouldn't have anything to do with this - they simply own Fair Park and lease the facility to the fair, as far as I know.

GOOD POINT JAMES SCOTT, I used to work on sculptures this size and we put in a good 100.000 dollars and then some, but 600/000 makes this BIg Tex sound like an arson job now
.....you see it burned at 10/30 then the structure was removed by noon, I mean no real story on how the boots caught fire came up then.....oh hell now I am creating problems over 600/000..do you have that kind of money....for an icon...that has become what today....Whey cant we have Big Mex.....
