Cafe Lago in East Dallas has closed

Sarah Blaskovich says:

Owner Gabriela Kovacic has retired after a rocky few years. She wrote a long farewell email about her experiences at the restaurant.

It was located on Garland Road near White Rock Lake.

She wanted to sell the cafe in fall 2011.

When you go into a restaurant, and ALL the employees are totally PARANOID and in FEAR of the OWNER....well, I can see that many of the responders to your previous Cafe Lago postings have had the same experience w/ the ownership as we did. Sadly, the food was really good, but Gabriela was her own worst enemy. I can't tell you how many times I heard the same story, over and over and over and over again: "Convenient. Great location.Really good food. But she kept us from going.
