COMEDYSPORTZ is competitive improvisational comedy presented in a sports format. Not comedy about sports--comedy played as a sport, with all the competition, collaboration and posterior patting you've come to expect in this sports-hungry world. A CSz match features two teams of three or four players each, with play overseen by a referee who keeps score, calls fouls and keeps the action moving so the audience will barely have time to stop laughing hysterically at one game before starting the next. The audience participates throughout the match, selecting scenes and acting as the judge. It is never the same show twice with over 100 different games, untold numbers of suggestions and the always-changing audience.
Finally, COMEDYSPORTZ is and always has been committed to entertainment through the use of funny rather than foul. They have been delivering the laugh of a lifetime for over 20 years, in over 18 cities, without the use of any of those words that guaranteed a glare from mom. The troupe performs regularly at the West End Comedy Theatre.
