The latest incarnation of Section 8 has its origins in the early nineties, where a group of talented individuals studying at Dallas' KD Studio Actors Conservatory formed a comedy troupe, bringing in some of their friends from outside the school as well. In late 1998, they assumed the hallowed Section 8 name and to this day they are keeping the entertainment tradition alive. They have been recently named the Best Comedy Troupe in Dallas and have garnered several other accolades as a group as well as for their individual efforts. They perform weekly at the Ozona and Metro Grill.
