Established in 1985, Teatro Dallas is a non-profit institution dedicated to the presentation of all styles of theater that reflect the varied cultural experiences of the Latino communities, through the works by both classical and contemporary Latino playwrights. Besides seasonal productions, the theater represents the US at international festivals, offers classes, preserves the tradition of the Day of the Dead, and hosts the International Theater Festival.

They recognize the theater's power to foster understanding of both cultural differences and similarities, and it is their hope to promote a sense of community while celebrating diverse traditions.
