The Undermain Theatre is an ensemble of artists that performs new and experimental works in Dallas, New York, and Europe, and sustains a theater under Main Street in Dallas’ legendary Deep Ellum. The Undermain Theater was founded in 1984 by a group of artists who transformed a warehouse basement in Deep Ellum in Dallas, Texas into a unique performance space to provide their audiences with new and experimental plays.
