Pegasus:What drew you to run for office?
I am interested in the voters having a choice that is NOT the lesser of two evils.
Pegasus: What are the platforms of your campaign?
I stand for reducing government involvement in individuals' lives at almost all levels of society.
I fully support the government living on a balanced budget. I would absolutely make sure that any legislation sponsored, “lived within its means”.
Pegasus: What are the concerns of the people in your community/ that you represent?
We are concerned about the financial losses of the market to some degree. Many are more concerned about the immediate increases they see in cost of living. A large concern for many is the education that their children are not receiving at our local schools. In this area many are concerned also about illegal immigration, and rising health care costs.
Pegasus: What are the sources of conflict in your election contest?
Nulsen: I fully support less government in almost all aspects. My opponent does not.
Pegasus: How do you differ from your opponents?
Nulsen: I would reduce spending.
Nulsen: I will do the right thing, even if it is not personally beneficial to me.
Pegasus: Do you have a favorite Presidential candidate?
Nulsen: Ron Paul
Pegasus: How do you feel about the following newsy issues from the area:
*Convention center hotel
Nulsen: do not have enough info to have an opinion
*Switching freeways from free to toll-based
Nulsen: if this reduces government spending than I am for it.
-*HOV lanes
Nulsen: I disagree with these in their current form
*DART rail
Nulsen: I would fund this more directly from the businesses and people that benefit from it.
*Barnett Shale drilling
Nulsen: I think it's a great idea
*Cellphone use in cars
Nulsen: I would make no legislation regarding this
*Open internet access in public libraries
Nulsen: As long as it fits the budget
*“Green” buildings
Nulsen: as long as they are not mandated by the government
Pegasus: How do you feel about the following national issues:
*War in Iraq
Nulsen: I think it is a travesty and should have been avoided.
*Immigration
Nulsen: I encourage immigration. I do not feel that having more immigrants is bad as long as they are willing to integrate into our society.
*Energy sources (oil vs wind vs solar)
Nulsen: I fully support efforts from the private sector to develop more responsible energy practices.
I have a great deal of in depth opinions about many of these subjects. I would be glad to provide further information for those who are interested.
