Pegasus News campaign survey (March 28, 2007)

What is the one greatest thing that the Allen City Council has achieved in the past year?
Completion of 2007 Capital Improvement Program. This project, several months in the making, has resulted the calling of a bond election on May 12. Allen CIP capitalizes on the experience and passions of many of our citizens, led by a council appointed steering committee. With the assistance from city staff, volunteers examine the upcoming capital needs of our city and propose to council their recommendations.

What is the single biggest improvement that the Allen City Council needs?
Both council and city need to our visibility with neighboring cities, Collin County and in Austin. Allen needs to take advantage of state/national funding, joint municipal projects and show off our wonderful city.

What is the toughest problem that you have ever solved?
Managing life as a mom, wife, volunteer and working professional all the time ensuring I had a positive impact on each. Allen voters have valued commitment, involvement and volunteerism in the community. These are excellent ways for elected leaders to know the city and to keep in tune with what the pulse of the community is. I have been active in our community for almost 20years. Working with youth, local church, Allen Community Development Corp and Planning and Zoning Commission.

If you are elected and can only achieve ONE quantifiable thing in your term, what would you want it to be?
Continued improvement to our city services without increase in tax rates.
