Southwest Bluegrass Club 2006 Winter Show
Feb. 11 at the Palace Theater
The Herrin Family (from L to R: Darla Gallant, Chris Herrin on mandolin, John Gallant on bass, Curry Herrin on guitar, Jeremy Herrin on banjo) opens the 2006 Southwest Bluegrass Club winter show.
24 Carrot Bluegrass (from L to R: Debbie Morrow, Sheila Powers and Liz Phillips), working like mad rabbits, peeling carrots to the "Dueling Banjos" tune.
Clear Blue's Chuck Mullins on guitar, Ron McClung on mandolin and Dennis Holland on banjo. You can also see Mike Harris's hands on the bass (honest, the rest of him was there.)
The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band headlined the afternoon show. The guitar playing of Kenny (second from right) is nothing short of spectacular, while Amanda was born to sing.
Grand Ole Opry member Jesse McReynolds and guitarist Donny Catron, who has about the most amazing high tenor voice this side of anywhere.
This statue across the street from the Palace Theater had a dreamy time listening to all the great music.
