The Arts Magnet, New and Much Improved

The building from the outside. Note the way the new building uses darker brick that matches the flecks in the old building alongside a splattering of the red brick. Very yin and yang, eh?

A view of one of the hallways through the mesh that helps to keep an open feel. Notice all the light flooding in from the entrance. In addition to bringing in mass quantities of natural light, every entry also leads directly to an art space (ie: a gallery, etc etc).

This is one of the jazz rooms. (I like the hanging sombrero)

The view from the teacher's lounge. Not bad, eh? Most teachers lounges don't even have windows. The view looks over the Green Room.

The newly renovated old historic building that the Arts Magnet outgrew.

The school kept the picnic tables from the old school and put them in the Green Room amphitheater.

These are "acoustic reflective blocks" built into the walls of the music rooms to help disperse the sounds.
