this place is horrible DO NOT take any music classes from AMV or shop at the music store. Owner is super rude with customers and students. As a former student here iv seen him yell and kick out customers violently throwing chairs and even guitars causing a scene infront of everyone. he is a violent person who should not be operating a buisness

NICE SCHOOL. I DISAGREE WITH "RUGY" . I Took bass classes and the teachers are very good and I learned every style of music and how to read and write music. I could see at this school that teachers cared that I understood my work and for my fellow students as well. This school will teach you music so you can make something of it. Do not listen to only what you read, give it a chance and experience the classes for yourself. You are not always going to make everyone 100% happy, but they do their best and that is what counts.

I disagree with both reviews if anything listen to this one... taking classes there... personally I nver saw mr valero throwing fits or things but they do present the school to be something that it is not ... the curriculum is not great and the music theory they make you take is not music theory at all I learned waaaay more in community college course I took.. he is nice man but his school could be better if he invested time and money into his school and actually produce musicians not just let them go up levels and tell them they're great when they r really not... some constructive crticism nver hurt and the way it is right now is not worth the money but they're nice ppl... most stuff I was taught was super bbasic even as a beginner and felt a bit cheated but continued going to see if it would get better but when it didmt I stopped going and tried out college electived where I grew more in my instrument and spent less

i am a professional musician (retired) what i have seen is it is a great place to get fundamentals. i think the rest is between you and your instrument of choice -- nobody can give you the gift of musicianship it is a journey you alone must travel.

What do you think?
