4/5Al Amir = hairy older persian/lebanese men who hit on underaged girls and don't take no for an answer (lol). Or at least it did about 5 years ago.
Other than that, it's actually a nice place with hookah, belly dancers, drinks, and lots of loud and fun-to-dance-to middle eastern club music.

What happened to Al-Amir Dallas? I drove by the other day and it was gone. Looked like something else might already be operating out of the space. I thought Al-Amir was a fun place for sort of an "event" dinner...too bad.

Whitney, i heard they closed, not sure why except to know that the <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/places/al-amir-addison/">branch in Addison</a> is still open; haven't had time to follow up, and now that you mention that something else is going into the space, well then that's all i need to get chopping. thanks as always for your good eye
