4/5Overall:
4/5Very good neigborhood pizza joint in rundown strip mall. The pizza is what the dish ougth to be like from a mom-and-pop joint. It's freash, the crust is thinner than most but still not paper thin. Cheese dominates over sauce.
And while I really like this pizza, it's much much better than any chain pizza, there's something a bit bland about the sauce that makes me think I've had better.
The place itself is rather frumpy, and I find the dining room rather cold and ill lit. I'll almost always just do carryout from Al's.
And a large pizza at Al's is LARGE and not expensive. Best pizza in the neiborhood.
