it is a terrible experience! the Owner "Zema" a lady from Iran, is a cheater! Here are the lies......... 1)charged us extra $500 dollars for the "elegant plate ware" that she showed, promised us but instead, on the wedding day, use "freaking buffet plate, (white ugly, nasty ones)!"

2) if you do your ceremony, party there, MAKE SURE some one is COUNTING your liqour, beer, wine, amount! (you have to order the alcoholic beverages from her, no exception) she would tell you everything has been out while only a few (less than 10 people are drinking alcoholic beverages) that is freaking $2000 dollars worth!

3) NEVER! I MEAN NEVER! take the recommendation that she has a DJ, he only charges $dollars/night! that freaking dude does not even know his music. My nephew, 10, can do a better job than him. Retarded! play a war song that two lovers were separated on our wedding. he could not even play the damn cds while we labels everything for him! Freaking unbelievable!

4)Owner claimed that she has a bunch of " professional " servers that can accomondate our wedding! Professional my butt! a bunch of people from Mexico who could not speak English, while me my wife, guests are English speaking! Did not mentioned about that when we signed the contract! Brought it up in my face on the wedding day! Freaking sick! These servers they expected that you, as the event fees payer, would tip them, so they spend all the time around you and my guests had to called them three times for a water refill!

Finally, It is a nice place to have an event! but Unfortunately, is operated by a very dishonest owner! sorry for the loss! Never would recomend this place to anyone!

We had our wedding here on Sept 19, 2009. The place was AWESOME. we had our own caterers and our own staff working. The only staff that was provided was the bar staff. Zema was very friendly and professional. The DJ she recommended was PERFECT. at first I had my doubts about the DJ when we first met him, but he really surprised us at the wedding. Every was really happy with the location and the look and feel of the place. i would recommend this place to everyone. The only problem I had was with a bartender who turns out was related to Zema. But that issue was resolved.

I had my wedding reception at Bacara two weeks ago, and it was absolutely beautiful! Zema is a wonderful person, who is generous, kind, warm, and very stylish. She treated my family as her own. Now, she is just like family to me. I love her, and my experience at Bacara was beyond a 10!!! Everything was so elegant and classy with a superb waitstaff. It is located in a prime location of Dallas. She will go above and beyond to help give others the experience of a lifetime. This will not be my last event there! I would recommend Bacara to anyone:-)
