vocalist, we've marked the name change, appreciate your input. it used to be Bari's Pizza and Pasta, but now it's Fera's PASTA and PIZZA. see, they switched up the pasta-pizza thing too

Vocalistic: you're right, the name did change. From what I've heard, one of the owners bought out the other, but other than the name the restaurant remains unchanged.

I really loved this restaurant--then my boyfriend moved from across the street on Oak to somewhere a little further, so we stopped going so much. A couple months ago I noticed the name on the sign out front changed--it's called Fera's now. It's still italian cuisine, but I haven't stopped by there yet to see if it's the same great Bari's food. I'll update when I do!

Thanks David.
I wasn't talking about that, Ting. I think that was a different spot. I know Bari's is on Oak...the piece of the article I quoted from is almost at the end of the article:
That building, where Copy Pro Copy Center now sits, actually has been aflame twice, said copy shop owner Al Glidewell, who has seen the charred beams hidden by ceiling tiles. Other businesses burned in the Fry Street neighborhood include the former Bari’s Italian restaurant, the old Rick’s Place and the previous home of the Delta Lodge.
I'm guessing they were talking about the time it was closed when I was in school? I dunno. Hopefully David's right and I'll see it/eat there my next time up.

"former Bagheri’s Italian Restaurant on Fry Street."
Bari's is on Oak Street, not Fry.

So...you're telling me it's still there?
I go up to Denton about once a month just to hit up spots I went to in college, probably going to stop by Bari's this time around.

The Bari's in Denton and the one in Flower Mound are part of a small chain. However; the I prefer how the recipes are prepared at the Denton location.
The parma rosa, or "pink", sauce is much better and also the house dressing for the salad is better.

I concur, ting - great place for college kids in Denton to go on a date. Affordable with a great atmosphere.
I died a little when they closed for awhile in my days at UNT - I think there was a fire. =( It reopened then, but...
OH DEAR GOD IS IT GONE?!?
Google Maps doesn't return anything, and per this article from the Denton Record-Chronicle it's former Bari’s Italian restaurant.
Someone please confirm/deny its existence. =(

This college dive is one of my favorite restaurants. Cheap, easy and relaxed atmosphere.
I have never had a bad meal here. I love these people. :)
