Norma Jean / Haste The Day / The Showdown / MyChildren MyBride / Children 18:3 Granted, you probably have to wear your tight jeans to gain entry to this show, but at least it's for Norma Jean. If you occasionally have the hankering for unbridled screaming set to a beat, this Atlanta quintet is your band. Basically, they're the band all the little screamo kids wish they were. Beware: the teenagers own Deep Ellum tonight. More info

Collin introduced me to B.B.Bop today for lunch, and as a fan of bibimbap in general, I was impressed. For like $6 you get a HUGE bowl of rice, meat, and veggies Korean style. Most importantly, they had the right sauce to give it just the right flavor. I have no idea what it's called, but it's red and served at Korean restaurants. :) The only drawback was that since it's not cooked in an actual stone bowl, it lacks a bit of that crispiness.
They even have a traditional bánh mì (which I've been craving since Mr. Munchies in Denton closed). It's too bad I don't live or work closeby. Though it could be dangerous if I did.

Man i love this place! Great fresh food at a great price. The owner came up to me while eating one day and told me all about how fresh everything is (they butcher their own meat), and how he is just starting out and plans to grow. They just added a new sandwich to the menu for a sub $4 sandwich it was incredible!
