Basic information:
- Alcohol: BYOB
- No indoor smoking section
Bend Studio is an incredibly unique, wonderfully intimate, barefoot and non-smoking listening room in Dallas. Yoga studio by day, it offers a sacred space for artists and music lovers alike. All of its musicians are extraordinary individuals who work hard to stay independent and create.
The venue seats only 80-85 people, so space is extremely limited, and advanced ticket purchase is usually required.
All shows begin at 8:00 p.m., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info

Damn, Duncan Sheik and Will Johnson were just there? I had no idea. I need to pay attention more to this place.

Been a lot of shows canceled at Bend lately because the Fire Marshall doesn't like its setup as a music venue. There were rumors it was going to stop holding concerts, but that's apparently not true:

At any rate, a few have canceled last minute lately, so be sure to check in before you head over.

I feel sorry for everyone who missed John McEuen at Bend Studio last night. Great show, and I love the atmosphere at this listening room.
