3/5All of my friends rave about Bin 303, and I really wanted my first experience there to be outstanding; unfortunately, I walked away thinking that it was ok.
The Shrimp Flautas were phenomenal, with a unique presentation and terrific taste. I wanted more! The wedge salad, however, fell well short of expectations. Both of the wedge salads served were absolutely drowning in dressing. While the flavors were really good, we couldn't get past the wedge salad soup that was left over in the bowl after working our way through most of it.
We shared that nights special: a pork tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes. The entree was good, but didn't blow me away.
The service was very friendly and accommodating. When our server was unsure of which wine to suggest, she immediately grabbed the sommelier, who was very knowledgeable (she is the Chef's wife).
I think in the end, I had such high expectations that when it wasn't "Perfect", I walked away a little disappointed. My wife and I will return, however, in hopes that we caught the kitchen on an off night. If so, I will update my score!
