I think everyone in Dallas has eaten here. I love to go for brunch and lunch, but haven't been for dinner in a long time. The brunch wait can often be 45 minutes, but they turn the tables quickly. I enjoy their granola and their pancakes and the free bread of course. Cute little courtyard too, which is great when the weather is nice. Breadwinners is definitely a Dallas institution!

We've mostly gone for brunch in the past which we've always enjoyed, more recently we've been for dinner. Good choices for dinner are the steak, not so good was their "famous" chicken fried chicken. It could have been better. Great shrimp and calamari appetizers. The spinach dip is good too.
Save room for dessert, they are over the top fabulous. The red velvet cake is great.

Brunch is usually packed, so get there early.

Gotta love the bread while you wait for brunch! Although I have noticed that lately I've had to actually ask for it in order for it to appear.

If you plan on going for brunch, be prepared to wait. Especially if it's nice outside. Everyone and their mother is there and next door at Primos. Which also means you either have to be a parking lot vulture, or pony up and valet.

The food has always been pretty good as well. Disappointed that they did away with the raspberry bellini though!

We were much more impressed when we went for dinner than when we tried their brunch.

The waitstaff at dinner was attentive and friendly. Salmon and shrimp were cooked perfectly and not overcooked. We were generally impressed with the quality.

Brunch was delivered cold. The staff was overworked and unavailable. Our omelete and Eggs Benidect were mediocre. I'd avoid bruch and go for dinner.

A solid choice for uptown. Dinners, half price wine nights, desserts, all sure to please.

We arrive on several occassions, seated nicely in the too small space built between an apparent abandoned greenhouse and abbatoir. The contrast of rooms fits the cuisine.

Brunches involve a lengthy wait for a table. Bring your copy of Variety and D and you'll fit right in.

One bad night - New Years 2005. We'll take it as an anomaly.
