4/5Cafe Express is always a great place to grab lunch - its service is always really quite quick and their lunch special with a cup of soup, half a sandwich, a small salad AND a drink for around $8 can't be beat and is actually pretty healthy.

4/5This is a pretty decent place to grab some lunch. The menu offerings tend to have a little something for everyone. I generally head towards one of the pasta dishes though. Unfortunately the Frankford/Preston location closed, which was odd considering it always seemed busy. I'm guessing the lack of any activity at night may have been the death of that location.
I know some people complain that they are expensive, but you can get out of here and not have to spend the whole paycheck.

2/5I would love to know if the above reviewers still think Cafe Express is any good. I used to share their opinions and spent many a lunch at the McKinney location and Sunday afternoons at the now closed Beltline location. My last couple of trips have been disappointing but I thought maybe I was just having an off day until I recently ate at this location with a coworker who frequented the McKinney location with me in years past. We both agreed - something has changed and we will likely not be back. Although the menu does not appear to have changed much, the quality is not as good and the food just does not taste the same. I am guessing others have had similar experiences as we were there at lunch and it was pretty empty.
