This is my favorite pizza place in Dallas. The large with salami, green onions and black olives - yummmmm! The salad, very plain, for some reason is also very good. My child loves the crab claws which are swimming in garlic butter (this makes for a more expensive dinner but the kid eats every last one). If you have lived in Dallas very long, you have already eaten here. If you are new, give it a shot and read up on your Campisi history as it just makes the place more interesting. For take out, order the pizza half cooked and finish it off at home.

I have eaten there forever!! Always the best since I was a pup in the 1960's. REALLY, REALLY it is the best pizza, and that salad with the three "real olives" in it is to die for!!! In the evenings, I would call ahead and request the "back room" where all the celebs would be dining. Always, the food is great. And to Alexis54321, Jack Ruby, he ate there the night BEFORE he shot Oswald, not JFK-as you stated above in your blog. All the Campisi Family clan has been cordial over the years and when they filmed "JFK" the movie in Dallas in 1991, Oliver Stone and I met there and ate. Good memories. Best place to eat pizza, PERIOD.

The best pizza in town. And yes, Jack Ruby ate here all the time. In fact, he ate dinner here the night before he shot JFK. Everyone loves Campisi's- it's kind of an institution, don't you think? Great pizza. Also try the toasted ravioli appetizer or the artichoke hearts (baked in garlic butter and bread crumbs). YUM!!! They also deliver.

I'm not sure if I'd say the vibe is all that great, but it's usually pretty packed. Parking can be somewhat of a chore at times, too. Pretty good pizza though, couple that with some of that cheap wine-in-a-basket stuff and you're pretty much good to go!

mmmm...Campisi's...My mouth waters just thinking about their delectable pizza pies. Best i've had in all of the DFW. i challenge you to find a better pie! Challenge you!! And "vibe" doesn't do it justice, this place as the ambience and atmosphere of an old school family restaurant one might find tucked away in 1970's era Little Italy in NYC or up on The Hill in St. Louis. So cool! Waitstaff is attentive and very friendly. Can't beat this place.

This is really a Dallas restaurant that everyone has heard about. If you haven't been there, you should definitely try it. You won't be disappointed.

The pizza is what most people go to Campisis for, it's some of the best in Dallas. It's a thin crust pizza, with what I consider the best pizza sauce in Dallas. It has a good balance of sauce and cheese, not like some pizzas that are all cheese or all sauce. This is probably my favorite pizza in Dallas.

I can't comment on the other food, although I've heard it's great, because everytime I go in there I get pizza.

It can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so get there early, or stop by for lunch.

Talk about history, who shot JFK? (oops I didn't say that) but yes Jack Ruby was known to dine there. Their Pizza is some of the best in town! the fettucini Alfredo, Joe's Garlic Toast. I don't know where to stop! There isn't anything bad I can say about the Campisi Family Establishments! I wish Joe was still around to tell stories. but then again I don't think I want to know.. LOL

Whenever somebody mentions Campisi's there always the thought of I could eat there.. even if you just ate! Its a Dallas landmark everyone should try!
