5/5What a concept! A mobile pizza oven that bakes up freshly made Neapolitan style pizza's in Dallas! We visited a number of times, when they were operating out of Chocolate Angel, which they apparently were "evicted" from. We tried them most recently at their Lakewood location operating out of Times 10 Cellars!
The pizzas being fired up at Il Cane Rosso definitely stand up to the pizza of the east. Beautiful handmade crust, hand pulled mozzarella, and tomato sauce crushed daily from San Marzano tomatoes make for a fresh and delightful base to add your favorite toppings.
The Luana, is great. Topped w/ sausage, soppresata, mushrooms, fresh basil and of course the freshest mozzarella for $15 which gives enough slices to feed two. We've tried a few others and none disappointed!
For dessert, the zeppole (fried dough) is decedent and comes w/ a chocolate dipping sauce. Plenty to share, we couldn't finish them all. Best thing about these pizzas is that they cook in 2 minutes flat! You'll have your order on the table in no time.

4/5This is a new place in Deep Ellum with a great patio area. It’s open with a beautiful rod iron gate that I expect to be covered with vines by next spring. The décor is really neat inside and out. They have painted murals of characters from the Soprano’s and the artist did a great job. There is exposed brick which matches the feel of the place perfectly.
The bar is petite but the perfect size for the place. I love you can sit at the pizza bar (what I call it) and watch the chefs make your pizza. It’s right in the middle of the restaurant.
Save room for dessert because they have these fried pockets of love with a chocolate dipping sauce. One order for 4 is plenty.
