Did anyone notice that Casita Dominguez appears to have changed hands? I drove by yesterday and all the signs were changed to "Nueva Casita." I hadn't heard of this and don't know anyone who has eaten there since the change. Thoughts?

good catch, whitney - it has changed hands, longtime owner Pete Dominguez retired, but nothing else has changed otherwise -- same staff, same menu. we've changed the name as you will note. nice work!

5/5Sorta. The transition was actually in December or January. Turns out Mr. Dominguez was in a mountain of debt and had lost his liquor license (too many DUI's) so he was bleeding money by giving away liquor. A long time fried/patron of his who had some cash bought the restaurant and has updated the kitchen and some other things. I can't confirm or deny the staff/menu changes but it was my understanding they didn't want to deviate too much but needed to make some changes to make it fiscally viable.

5/5Nueva Casita's new ownership has made a number of improvements without changing the great Tex-Mex and keeping many of the original staff, who have become 2nd family to many of us long time customers. Fresh paint, new kitchen, new menu items, but still some of the best enchiladas in town (try Rick's Special) and excellent frozen margaritas. We miss Pete, but we still love Nueva Casita. Only regret: Their Happy Hour (half price margaritas) is over at 6pm, too soon for most to take advantage.

1/5This is the sooryest excuse for a nice mexican restraunt Ive ever seen. I have lived next to them for years. Nothing has changeed with the new owners. The food still sucks. Very over priced for the slop they serve. I cant believe people go there.I got an order to go last week, and took it back to get my money back.Total slop. The barrocho bean soup tasted like it was a week old
