Cavanaugh Flight Museum

4572 Claire Chennault Street, Addison, 75001
(at Addison Airport)

Phone: 972-380-8800

The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is devoted to promoting aviation studies and to perpetuating America's aviation heritage. The museum fulfills its mission by restoring, operating, maintaining and displaying historically-significant, vintage aircraft and by collecting materials related to the history of aviation.

On any given day, visitors may see aircraft active on the museum's ramp. The museum's maintenance facility allows visitors to look beneath the skin of such famous aircraft as the Sopwith Camel, the P-51 Mustang, or the German Me-109 and to talk with the mechanics who keep these warbirds flying. This is a rare opportunity not found at other aviation museums. In addition, the museum has other facilities for visitors to enjoy, including an outdoor picnic area, an air conditioned canteen, a large aviation art gallery and a gift shop.

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
