I like this place a lot and in particular the wraps are too good.

I just called and was told they serve beer and wine at the Dallas location and offer a full bar at Chaat Cafe in Irving (which I've also adjusted). Thanks , Billusa99.

I forgot to add... the place is licensed for beer and wine. It's not BYOB, to the best of my knowledge.

Chaat, which a co-worker tells me is a somewhat generic term for "appetizers and small bites" is an atypical Indian "fast food" cafe. Pulsing Indian techno-music fills the place (not too loud) and you order at the counter, get a number, and your food is brought to your table about 10 minutes later. It is always filled with patrons from the Indian sub-continent, so that was a good sign the first time we entered.
They have full meals, 3 daily specials, as well as naan wraps with spicy or mild chicken, fish and vegetarian. I ALWAYS go for the wraps, but I have had a decent chicken tikka masala too. The mixed vegetable pakuras and the cumin and potato samosas are worth a visit too (those are some of the many chaat).
The wraps are where they shine. Hot, fresh naan with just the right amount of scorch. I alternate between the "mild" chicken and the fried fish (not sure what it is, but it's firm and fresh). Avoid the spicy chicken unless you have a mouth that can handle volcano-powered heat!
Wraps come with a tamarind chutney and a mint sauce -- both highly addictive. Included is your choice of a fresh, cold diced cucumber salad or a spicy potato salad. Go with the tubers and then drizzle the tamarind chutney on it!
Highly recommended for a quick, healthy, unique lunch.
