Don't bother going in the evenings unless you're prepared to wait. The bar area use to be first come first served but that rules changes.
Management completely offended my husband and I the last time we visited so I doubt we'll ever go back....(Management kicked us out of the open bar seating to satisfy a waiting/frustrated patron who saw us come in & seat ourselves in the bar area. I reported it to Corporate & never heard a response (typical huh?). Before this evening, I would totally agree with Norm's review. Before that night, I would always say it is a great place to eat.
The best thing about Cheddars is the food!
Fav dishes: Grilled Salmon with bourbon glaze!
Keywest chicken & shrimp (with bourbon glazed sauce)
Sides: steamed broccoli & mashed potatoes!

Chedder's offers good food portions in a nice atmosphere. If you eat here for lunch, expect to return to work late. This is not fast food.
The menu offers a nice assortment of appetizers. My favorite is the spinach dip. It comes in a large tub. This is a cheesier spinach dip than you get at other casual dining restaurants. They also bring you salsa and tortilla chips when you order this dip.
The "crazy nachos" aren't so crazy. I expected a larger portion for the price.
This is the first casual dining restaurant (non-steakhouse) where I have been impressed with the Ribeye. It is well seasoned, and my Medium Rare steak was cooked properly.
A side item you must try here is the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. This is a unique side item at Chedder's and is very tasty.
