When I first moved to Texas and told people I worked in Las Colinas I was immediately asked if I had been to Cool River. Everyone seemed to have had a smile on their face when they asked. I finally found out why. Cool River is a delicious and respectable place to go to lunch. As a matter of fact it is the classiest stand alone place in and around Las Colinas to have lunch. Ah, but then there's the evening crowd. (And this is what made everyone smile.) A trip to the bar during happy hour is well worth it. There's plenty to see. If you get their in time your stool or your table will become prime real estate when the music starts up. A good time can be had by just sitting back and watching the crowd. I definitely recommend a visit at least once. But don't forget to valet park your jag/hummer/benz out front.

3/5I've only ever been here for lunch when I was in the mood to splurge. Its an upscale atmosphere with excellent service. Operated by the same company that owns III Forks.

4/5Overall, I’ll have to say that I like the food at Cool River. Generally the steaks have been pretty good, and the service has always been attentive. The last time I was there I was with a fairly large sized party in one of their separate rooms and it wasn’t the greatest experience. Service was slow and the food just seemed to be churned out for the masses. Any other time I’ve been, everything was great. I’d recommend sticking to the smaller parties. I also think that all of the Cool River locations have an area for cigar smoking, which is a dying thing… this is a good thing for all of the cigar lovers out there!
