Description
Cόte D' Azur, (pronounced coat-dazur), French American Restaurant is located on the lakeside development in Rockwall, called the Harbor. The name translates to "The Blue Coast" in French, and refers to the blue coast on the French Riviera. The Harbor development is a Mediterranean style concept on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. The vacation-like ambiance creates a wonderful setting for an enjoyable dining experience. Inspired by trips to France and the Riviera, General Manager and co-owner, Joe Hernandez wanted to bring French cuisine to the Mediterranean style Harbor as an addition to the dynamic diversity of culture, cuisine, and demographics currently evolving in the Rockwall community. In partnership with Executive Chef and co-owner, Arturo Cardoso, Cόte D' Azur was formed after many years of planning and dreaming of such concept. Chef Cardoso brings with him over 22 years of French cuisine experience from his previous occupation as chef at an upscale French American Restaurant. From the restaurant

My experience at this place was very pleasant the service was like a five star restaurant, I felt pampered and relax. 5/5Definitely one of the better restaurants in Dallas.
This place is so amazing, loved the decor of the restaurant. From the moment we walked in the doors, we were treated with great service not to mention the Spectacular view of the Harbor. After sitting there taking in the atmosphere of the beautiful dinning area, we had the most exquisitely prepared food brought to us. The Tilapia and the Beef Medallion were both amazing. Truly an “elegant and intimate dining experience”.
If you are looking for a romantic, intimate dinner for you and that special someone, look no further than Cote D’Azur.
Can not say enough about the location and atmosphere of this place. I will defiantly return to Cote D’Azur and recommend it to my friends.

5/5I visited this restaurant with a friend for lunch and was so impressed with the experience that I couldn't wait to tell my husband. We went back Sunday evening with some friends for dinner and again, the food, service (very friendly and accomodating), ambiance, and music was exquisite. Between the 4 of us we had chicken, lamb, and fish and everyone of the dishes was superb. We highly recommend this restaurant. Our friend, who is VP of Sales for his company, has put it on the company's top 5 restaurants at which to take customers.

5/5This is by far my favorite dining location. I live in Duncanville and Cote D' Azur is in Rockwall, and I have taken a drive out there about 4 times since the've been open the last 3 months. I love it.
My wife and I always feel like we are on a vacation while we are there. Chef Arturo is outstanding. The food is always superb and the atmosphere is incredible.
For everything you get, it can not be beat. My wife and I have reservations for Valentine's Day and we can't wait.
You have to try it yourself.

5/5We had a wonderful dining experince at Cόte D' Azur. First off the service from Roger was impeccable. And he gives very good advice on the menu if you can't make up your mind.
We had the Rack of Lamb,Tilapia and Center cut Porkchop for entrees and every one of the dishes was excellent. I cant forget the desert,a Chocolate soufflé I will now crave often. We loved it and will be frequent diners. I have already sent the website to everyone on my E-list that lives nearby. Highly recommended...

1/5This was possibly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The servers made one mistake after another and I'm convinced that there was no chef behind the stove in the kitchen. For example, the salmon appetizer consisted of 2 slices of salmon placed on a fried and greasy shreaded hash brown round. No seasoning at all. The veal dish had no seasoning either. Just 2 couple pieces of gray meat and 4 medium shrimp, also sans seasoning. It was served with a risotto that was clearly made from a packaged mix and all the above on a thin, flavorless wine sauce. No garnish or presentation. The other members of our party had similiar bland and unappealing dishes. With entrees in the $19-$35 range, you would have expected to see at least a sprig of parsley on the plate and at least seasoning with salt and pepper. There is nothing "French" about this restaurant except the menu. We won't be going back.

cougarxcountry14's comment was removed because it was mostly commentary about the owner, unrelated to the dining experience. Suffice to say he wasn't a happy customer.

5/5I went to Rockwall on a business trip and stayed at the Hilton next door. We went to Cote D’Azur for lunch.
The lunch and atmosphere were great we had a very pleasant lunch. But I and some of my associates wanted to try some of their dinner entrees.
So we went back for dinner, I’m so glad we did, they were amazing, not only was the food delish but the service and ambiance were impeccable.
When in the Dallas area I will definitely return to Cote D’ Azur.
Thanks for your hospitality.

2/5I have been there 3 times..once for lunch and twice for dinner. 2 of 3 visits were not so good!
The location is fabulous and the patio is the best! First dinner experience: it was very greasy and not too tasty...the service was okay...it was newly opened, so I guess the waitor was new...I understand his situation!
Second visit was for lunch: it was better and we were one of two tables there, so the service was good. We were a very large group, too. The bartender was exquisite...my father-in-law ordered a rare drink that nobody seems to make correctly EVER! The bartender there actually created the drink list and he knew what he was doing!
Third visit (dinner): it was pretty horrible...the food was bland and greasy, the service was horrible (we had to ask the waitress twice+ for everything...or more), she didn't smile much and always looked like she was runnning in circles and confused. It took about 35-40 minutes for the food to get to the table after we ordered it and it wasn't even hot, but the patio was great! It was a Friday night so EVERY restaurant had a long wait, but this restaurant was near empty. We were hungry and unsatisfied afterwards!
The people across from us were seated, but nobody ever tended to them , so they got up and walked out.
The young bartender, set up outside to "lure" in more customers, was a bit bothersome to many of the tables out on the patio.
It's no wonder they never have a wait list on weekends when every single other restaurant on the harbour does! Too bad since has sooo much potential!
Good luck to them!

Teresa Gubbins, staff:
just wanted to point out a "similarity" among three of the most positive comments for this restaurant: Maria Munoz, dona_watson, and now kstewart have all posted rave reviews from an identical IP address. that's some coincidence.
also: all three of these users have 1. signed up with Pegasus News, 2. posted their undying love for Cote D'Azur, then 3. disappeared. (in fact, just about all of the comments about this restaurant come from one-time posters.)
"Ladies" (because surely there's three of you, right?), we miss you, please come back! Because there's so much more to Pegasus than Cote d'Azur.

5/5Just to make it clear on the comment from the staff. We are 3 different ladies; the reason for the same IP address is that we work for the same company. As co workers do we commend things to each other. I recommended the restaurant to lots of people I really, really like Cote D'Azur. Only 2 people posted comments. I don't find anything coincidental about that. Thank you Maria Munoz
