In behind Texas De Brasil sits timid Cremona. We spy her peeking behind her South American neighbor and decide to give it a try. Park in front and avoid the TDB valet. Go too far and you're in another parking lot.

We wondered why everyone in a gravel parking lot outside of a barn from the set of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre would be so friendly. Then it became apparent.

Back to Cremona. No wonder Il Mulino went under. Cremona was stabbing it in the back. The space is chaos and appears to have been hobbled together in a Frankenstein of rooms filled with garage sale furniture from across East Dallas.

The service is friendly to a fault despite their command of ESL.

Salads beat Campisi's. Standard Italian fares are fresh and hot. Fresh breads maintain the kitchen's level of awareness.

Wine list and drinks are somewhat limited, but there's enough there to get your night started.

On the way out, we realize the parking lot for Jet Set is filling up and Cremona makes the best dinner place for those Turtle Creek Swingers. Perhaps there is an underbelly to Uptown after all, and Cremona is the gatekeeper. Silly girl.
