5/5As a shellfish fanatic this place sounded good to me when friends suggested we meet there for dinner. We enjoyed outstanding service from Tom the waiter and the meal was excellent from start to finish. Seafood Paella had shrimp, lobster, mussels and clams for a very reasonable price. One of my new favorites!

5/5Rarely can you go wrong at Daddy Jack's original Greenville location. You don't eat once at Daddy Jack's. You go back. Again and again. On at least one visit, one must order the Lobster Fra Diavlo. Been one of my faves for over twelve years.

4/5We have been going here since they were lined out the door in the early 90's. It's obviously not that way now, but the seafood has always been outstanding. Favs are the trout -- always pan-fried to perfection -- and the market lobster tail. They have recently changed it from a Maine-source to a Maritmes-Canada source and the improved qulity and sweetness/juiciness is readily apparent. For 28-30 there's no better deal in town.
Veggies are always crisp-cooked just right and th baked potato rivals Houston's -- crisp, well-cooked skin (which I love!) and nice, not mealy, interior. Two service people have worked there for a very long time and both are quirky but friendly, efficient and fun to talk with.
These guys are local, so keep going there. Let's keep them open in these tough times! Highly recommended!!

4/5Longtime fave for me and the missus. Food has always been excellent and the service is quirky, but in a good, friendly way.
I almost always get the stuffed, crusted catch. Crabcakes are great too.
Greenville Avenue valet is the third ring of hell, so we try to go on weeknights when there is street parking available on Greenville proper.

Interesting. Perhaps I'll have to give this place a second shot. I'll admit this is one of the few places I've walked out of before ordering because the waitress was so unpleasant I just didn't want to bother her with spending my money there.

5/5My husband and I have been going to Daddy Jack's for years. We love seafood, especially Alaskan King Crab legs. I can not believe that more people don't know about this place. My husband and I are both in the service industry, he in bars, me in restaurants and we have never experienced anything shy of greatness there. The food is always wonderful, the service just as good. Seriously, people need to try this place out especially if you want a quaint restaurant with outstanding food and service. PLUS, you can take your own wine in (with a corkage fee), how wonderful is that?

1/5This was not a good experience. The pecan crusted trout tasted like they fished it out of the Trinity River. The lobster ravioli had a major problem with the pasta used - had the texture of a pot sticker one would get in an asian restaurant. The wine we picked on the menu was ordered and tasted then another wine was brought to our table with the unfortunate awareness that they no longer have the original wine in stock.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone ever.
