Man found trespassing at SMU stepped down as a local church deacon
Seems he also used to throw creepy dinner parties for some SMU students.

Now there's a "rage quit" if I ever saw one.

3/5I have never paid for a meal here so that automatically makes any meal taste better.
I adore the french fries.

2/5Known for it's bar scene. Very cool atmosphere.
My husband and I had lunch there about a year ago. We found the waiter snobby and the food mediocre for the price.

4/5This isn’t the first place I think of when I want to dine out. I’m not entirely sure if it’s much of a happening place as it used to be, or if it’s one of the see-and-be-seen venues. But such is the Dallas nightlife.
One of the things I noticed, it really helps to be with someone that knows someone that works there. Service seems to increase exponentially. I think it’s a place worth checking out at least once, but not sure if I’d want to make it one of the places on my regular circuit. To me it’s a place that personifies the typical Dallas crowd, for whatever that’s worth. Drinks can be a bit pricey, but if you venture much to this area, you probably already know this.

2/5Very pretentious and underwhelming food.
Most go for the scene, but I wouldn't go for the food. Expensive, standard "fusion" type menu. Nothing really stood out.

4/5I'd written this place off because I'm not into the see and be seen scene, but wound up here for a business dinner last night and was duly impressed.
All the food we had was on the remarkable side of good. Calamari salad was well-seasoned and didn't take the feared shortcut of substituting a lot of lettuce for a lot of squid. Well-balanced. Duck two ways (breast slices and confit) on a bed of corn grits was heavenly, although the braised greens were a trifle on the salty side.
Others had and raved about the antelope with sweet potato puree; the ginger beef tenderloin and the crab dip. Special orders were taken without a blink and the service was friendly, if not completely knowledgeable. (Lots of "I'll ask and come back.")
Couple of bonus tips: If you ever need a last-minute place for a meeting for six or fewer people, ask for the wine room. No extra cost and most people forget it is there. As long as you don't mind an occasional server jumping in for a bottle, it's great. And, to our pleasant surprise, entrees were half-price on Wednesdays.
I'm still probably glad that I wasn't paying the tab, but we had a great dinner.
