3/5I only go for the Sunday brunch. The patio is dog friendly.
Very good breakfast.

5/5I love the patio for an early breakfast or brunch in the summer. My pick here..the Dream Benedict with ham, spinache and poached eggs. Yummy I also like the migas. The patio makes the place so relaxing.

3/5The food was excellent. Their menu is varied and eclectic, with a nice selection of veggies.
The killer is that the service was inattentive and disdainful. I was given the impression they were deciding if I was good enough to be given a coffee refill or not. After making several requests and waiting ages I had to go get my own water.
Impression overall - pretentious place for people who want to be "seen" having breakfast.

4/5We've been going to DC for several years now and the thing we learned to count on was the food being great but the service being nearly horrible: slow, inattentive and aloof servers.
That being said there must have been some recent turnover because the past several times we've gone we've had a pretty good experience.

4/5If the Quadrangle didn't seem like such a beating to deal with, I'd go to Dream Cafe for lunch weekly. If Dream Cafe was located within 5 miles of my house, I'd go there every Sunday morning.
Instead, I end up visiting Dream Cafe only on special occasions that call for a relaxing brunch in their sunny courtyard. Their migas, with veggie sausage, are terrific. However, my favorite thing on the menu, despite my hatred for former Red Sox manager Grady Little, is the Grady's omelet. It's basically just an omelet with herbed cream cheese, lox, spinach, and tomato, but it tastes like so much more.
The food is fresh, they offer plenty of veggie options, and their portions are fair. One tip: even if the wait is longer, don't settle for a table indoors. There's nothing better than relaxing with a nice, big breakfast on their shady, tree lined lawn on a warm day. The service can be shaky on a busy Sunday morning, but that's when you just need to put on your sunglasses, sip your coffee and be glad you're not somewhere less awesome...like church.

3/5We sit clearly divided.
Always seems to be relatively busy. Tables vary from the outdoor unsteady type to booths by the service entrance. Walking room small.
Her plates always seem better. On one occassion, heuvos clearly tasteless. Half bottle of tabasco helps. Her breakfast, apparently great. On another, steak sandwich - overdone and server neglects drink order. Her salad, apparently fantastic.
Lesson: the menu is different than the rest of the neighborhood. Don't go for the red meat.
