Stopped in for the traditional after church nosh yesterday and had a blast. Great deli, true NY Tradition. Fantastic food, awesome bagels, and I truly love the crowded, "everybody on top of you" feel. Even in Dallas you get that great chatter and happy banter your supposed to have on a Sunday. And if it's not enough, Ed comes, he sits, and he talks - nice guy! Recommended highly!

With the demise of Gilbert's, thank heaven Ed's/Deli News came around! Open faced Reubens are to die for! Traditional clear broth matzo ball soup is not as interesting as the loaded version at Bagelstein's but it's delicious without a doubt. Tables are small and crowded.

Corned Beef, Corned Beef, Corned Beef! I've never had Corned Beef like this, EVER. I can't seem to have enough, and my stomach has a way of distending just a little more whenever it's within easy ordering at Ed's Deli. The bagels are fantastic, too...they have just the right chew to them - bagels were never meant to be airy, and though I had never heard of H & H bagels (perhaps some re-runs of SATC is in order), I remember having warm, fresh bagels when in NYC - life didn't get much better than that!

Wow!! Miss NY Deli. The best place between the Big Apple and the City of Angels for true NY Deli. Great Rubens. Can not think of anoter way to do them. Fresh Bagels everyday and real New Yok breakfast choices. Amen to finding Ed's

When I last visited Ed's Deli I thought I had gone to corned beef heaven. Big, delicious sandwiches on fresh rye bread and the pickles are just like the ones you get in a deli in New York. I especially like the vast array of freshly baked pastries. A great selection. I would highly recommend this delightful restaurant if you want to eat great food. By the way their chicken barley soup is to die for.

Ed's Deli is really, really, really, bad. Box mashed potatoes, funny tasting matzo-ball soup. The menu is way too big and they don't really cut the mustard as far as N.Y. Kosher delis go. Now Gilbert's, that was a great N.Y. Deli. There big mistake was moving from Preston Forest to a buried, nothing location in nowhere-ville Addison. What were you people thinking? Mr. Gilbert, I told you it was a mistake - you told me to move. Now you're packing sandwiches for Cindi's - what a waste of talent. You were the best ever - your food was the best ever - even better than the Phil's Deli of long ago off N75 between Northhaven and Royal Lane - the current location of the below average - but better than Ed's Deli - deli, Cindi's.

The pastrami burger friggin rocks. Cooked medium well with the deli mustard and fries is unbelieveable. A must on your burger list.

Real NY deli grub. Takes me back home! Ed is focused on simple, quality ingredients & recipes. He's keeping it real. Has own in house scratch bakery that rivals any of the real bakeries in Dallas. He imports food items that either aren't available here or aren't up to snuff.
