A quick update. I tried the blackberry cobbler recently, and found it the superior of the three cobblers sampled so far at the Feedstore (the other two I've tried were peach and pecan). The blackberry cobbler was, in a word, perfect. I'll definitely be going back for more!

Tried the BBQ triumvirate - sliced brisket, pork ribs and sausage - and was very pleased with the quality and flavor of each meat. The three-meat platter came with a generous helping of brisket and sausage (the latter from Muenster) - though I could have used more than two of the meat-falling-off-the-bone ribs. Dessert choices included three types of cobbler, so a friend and I sampled two - pecan and peach. Of the two, the peach was more conventional in style, with the pecan cobbler resembling a pecan log with a little syrup (though my friend enjoyed it nevertheless). Next time, I'll be trying the blackberry, to see if it equals the peach for homemade goodness. The restaurant was filled with families enjoying themselves, and several getting large pans to go - I chose to transport my large to-go portion in my satisfied belly.
