The Fish has a $2 special every Tuesday. It's a bit misleading -- it's $2 for a single piece of sushi instead of the usual two-pieces-per-order. But still, I came out spending less than I would've at another sushi restaurant without the special. The sushi wasn't anything amazing, but it's probably worth a Tuesday trip every once in awhile.

I went to the Fish for the first time last night. The decor was amazing and fresh looking. They have a center room that looks like it would be perfect for private parties or corporate functions. I walked in the restroom and was amazed. Its probably the nicest in Dallas. The food was good and arrived quickly. You could tell the rolls were freshly made. The wine was reasonably priced and the bartenders and greeters were extremely nice. I will be back for another happy hour, no doubt.

First let me say that I LOVE sushi. I eat it (sashimi, sushi, rolls, whatever I can get my fins on) on a regular basis at various sushi places. I also frequent Steel at least two or three times a month since I work across the street from it.
I had high hopes for The Fish since I had read good things about it, but those hopes were dead in the water as soon as I tasted the food. The atmosphere is great, very energentic, and the decor reminded me of Vegas. Diners comprised of mostly 20-somethings grabbing a bite before hitting the town. This place has a young, hip crowd so dress cool. But what else would you expect from West Village? Now the food... the salmon tasted fishy, tuna rolls were mostly rice and did not taste fresh. And the price... Vegas prices too! This place is good to get your drink on, but I won't be swimming back anytime soon.
