Posted from mobile Saucer bratzel is amazing, the waitresses cute (but overworked and a bit sour because of it) but the draw is BEER. Amazing selection - best in Dallas. Hundreds of beers (draft and bottled) from around the world and a cigar friendly back room (when not reserved) keep me coming back again and again. One complaint: their beer club ticketing system is poorly run - beers listed are out of stock and in stock beers are not listed. That should be managed more professionally IMHO

By food I mean beer selection...the actual menu is so-so in my opinion. Some items are good, others, not so. Service can be hit or miss and at times it can be hard to find a parking space, but overall great place to drink good beer. Go on a Monday for $2.75 pints (all day) or Sunday when all Texas pints at $2.75. Great value on some good beer.

As a "plate holder"... even after my onus was abated and I had tried 200 different beers, I keep coming back here. The staff is friendly, the crowd is less Addison-y than a lot of places nearby.

The live music is often very good. The place can get crowded for big acts.

The Saucer is a pretty good pub to check out. If you're looking for a bargain beer for the night, they'll have something for you. If you want to spend money on some Trappist Ale, they have that as well. Food tends to run typical bar fare, but who really goes to a pub for a fine dining experience anyhow? If you're a beer lover, they have loads of beers to choose from... and there seems to be pretty a little bit of something for everyone. Sometimes the music can be a little loud on weekends, so you might want to get a table further back. Cigar smoking permitted in the back room, but during the winter it can get a little chilly back there.

Love me some Saucer.

Ridiculously broad beer selection - obviously with such an array of beers, many atypical to our area, it can get pricey. The Monday pint night is amazing, though - over 70 of the 100+ beers on tap are $2.50. That's until closing, too, not just happy hour.

There's a relatively amusing Trivia on Tuesdays that starts at 9. Fat Tire has traditionally been the Tuesday "fire sale", a.k.a. the $2.75 beer. Guy who runs trivia is interesting, and has no concern being risqué - so don't bring the kiddies.

Addison location has a side-room to enjoy cigars in, and allows cigarettes in the rest of the establishment (for now, anyways...no idea if Addison is going to implement an indoor smoking ban). Haven't been to the Ft. Worth one, but I imagine it's worth your while if you're on the west side.

I typically hit Saucer only Mondays or Tuesdays (maybe Wednesday if I like the pint glass), so peeps who frequent other times - please chime in.
