Travis Bush says:
I enjoyed my visit to the Fort Worth Zoo several weeks ago, but there were some problems. We went on a Monday, which meant it wasn't very crowded. This was a good thing, however it was also the case that nearly all of the vendors were closed. At the far end of the zoo near the old west town/Texas exhibits, there was not one place to buy a cold drink. You could buy fudge and candy, but no drinks.
As well, the Forth Worth Zoo needs a serious overhaul. You could tell they were building a new complex at the zoo's center, but other exhibits are in poor shape. If you have ever been, you will know that there is a pair of massive, beautiful mountain lions. The enclosure they share is not fit for even one animal, much less two of them. This is only one example, but there are many others. The whole zoo could stand a serious face lift if you ask me.
It also might serve the zoo well to lower their price on off days, as you do not get the full benefit of the facilities, crowds or not.
