What a great place to be involved in your community. The pool is awesome. The Friday night dinners are some of the best food served in Dallas, and you can't be the price! If you're a music lover, you'll love the Sunday afternoon all accoustical jam sessions. Check this place out!

Wild Game Night has become a tradition at the Eagles. Great food cooked by some of the best "game" cookers around. We have some great items for the raffles from shotgun cases to items for the ladies. The proceeds benefit the Rick Nelson Children's Fund named after one of our members and the fund gives out scholarships to members children. Come on down! DLanders

I gotta say, first time I went there, I was pretty sure I was going to get raped, stabbed, and dumped into a creek (not necessarily in that order.)
But the people were friendly, the drinks were good and cheap, and I had fun. I'm pretty sad that I missed the Chili cookoff.

In the 50+ years that #3108 has been in Dallas, no one has ever been stabbed, robbed or raped on the premises. Our members and guests are just regular people, working 8 to 5, paycheck to paycheck. It's incredible that these people will go out of their way to support a charity despite their own hardships. We may not raise millions of dollars, but we take pride in knowing that what we do raise is helping our community.

Yeah, the first time I drove down Arturo about eight years ago I thought there might be devil worshipers down there.
Now I know the place as "a little bit of country in the middle of the city".
Olympic sized pool where you can have a well made, low priced toddy while enjoying the sun, surrounded by 40-50 ft. old growth trees! No place like it in Dallas.
The people are really nice, if not a bit old fashioned. It's a bit like going to the country club with your parents. There are enough young people joining up, and around the pool during the summer, to keep it happening. But hey, if you're a smoker, or at least don't mind it, this is the last great bastion of civilization in Dallas!

I can understand why an urbanite might feel threatened coming to the Eagles. You have to drive down a narrow tar road surrounded by towering Oak and Pecan trees. There aren’t any skyscrapers, condos, zero lot line houses or six lanes of traffic-congested concrete to instill a sense of comfort and safety. Very scary! And, right in the middle of Big “D”. It probably felt as surreal as actually being in a Stephen King movie. We all know that squirrels, raccoons, horses, cats and dogs are notorious for wreaking all sorts of mayhem on humanity.
If the drive down the road to the Eagles isn’t scary enough, just wait until you get inside to see the real dregs of our sad society firsthand. These people actually have the unmitigated audacity to raise money for such despicable causes as: Heart Funds, Cancer Funds, Kidney Funds, Children’s Funds, Spinal Cord Injury Funds, Alzheimer and Parkinson Funds, and last but not least, Disaster Relief Funds.
Be forewarned! You may be subjected other deviant social interaction such as shuffleboard playing, TV watching, pool playing, dart throwing or having to endure the sounds of an acoustic jam session.
Oh, the Humanity!

The "Stretch 'n' Tone classes on Monday nights are the best. Instructor, Betsy has an hour work out that is excellent for beginners to pros. $3 per person is a steal and all you need to bring is a mat. Hope to see you there! DD

What was the name of the pool back in the 60's and 70's? I grew up in that area and remember going there often.....
Thanks. TAM
