El Salvadorian is good, everything else is mediocre at best. They obviously have a different interpretation of great-tasting Tex-Mex than most Texans or Mexicans. Margaritas are terrible - 2nd worse only to those crappy "margarita buckets" you see at stores.

Service is ok - I've always eaten before 9pm if that makes a difference. I've never been looked at too scornfully with my attire.

Value is terrible relative to other "Latin-genre" restaurants in Fort Worth. Good thing they have the El Salvadoran thing to call their own for now.

To sum up, Gloria's (the restaurant) can easily be duplicated by someone that can find a good location and make their place look trendy and hire good looking girls. Don't go here if you're very hungry or want excellent food. I hope their nightlife is better than their lackluster dining experience.

FerRubio, same issue here. One of my friends was not allowed to enter because of his shoes. He was wearing those "Diesel-style" shoes. Here is the shady part, when the lady at the door saw that it was a large group (Large Group x $10= Cha-Ching!) of us she called the Manager for his opinion. The manager told my friend that he could come in but would need to use the side entrance...SERIOUSLY!!! And to rub salt into the wound, the manager himself was wearing some crappy @$$ shoes!!!

This is weird as the Gloria's near my neighborhood on Lemmon avenue is very liberal in the dress code. However, I'm talking on the dinner/eating side of things. I mean, shorts and flip flops (the nicer kind) during the early evening anyway. Perhaps the later evening/bar area wants to set a certain dress code which is makes sense, I suppose.

I like their food but consistency has been hit or miss - mostly hit.

This is an establishment that I visit on a semi-regular basis, since on Saturday nights they have wonderful live music with a very pleasant atmosphere. However, last night I was not allowed in because the girl at the door considered that my shoes "looked they might be athletic shoes" although they clearly are not. Is it because they are white and stand out? I don't know, but unfortunately this place is becoming more and more pretentious. I have been admitted (very well welcomed, actually) into much more prestigious places in Puerto Rico with these exact same shoes. Don't get me wrong; the band that plays at Gloria's on Saturday night is outstanding, the overall atmosphere is great, and you will have fun, but you will have to deal with an exaggeratedly over-enforced dress code and overpriced mojitos that are made with too much Sprite for their own good. There are people inside with sandals, but that's probably because they got there before 9 PM and had dinner; I suppose that's the point of a $10 cover charge after 10 PM, but not even that will get you in if there's so much as a wrinkle on you. Very dissapointed to say the least...

What does Gloria's have to do with a "Cuban Experience"? Gloria's claims to be El Salvadorian. Not that I really care, as the food is really good regardless of where its influence is from, but I've been to Cuban restaurants here and in Miami and Gloria's definitely does not remind me of any Cuban experience.

My wife is second generation Cuban, so after we met and we moved away from Florida, I fretted that I would never be able to provide her with the "Cuban Experience", short of a vacation back "home", until now! In short and to the point because thats the way I do things, the atmosphere and service of this restaurant, along with the company, provided one of the most delicious experiences of this lucky mans life.
