I went to this Goffs recently, I asked them about ol' harvey, stated they had him in restaurant for awhile post sell-out. New owners said he started pulling a Col. Sanders the final years act where he would berate the cook on how to make the burgers accordingly. The food is still great, esp a burger made on a chargrill. I agree the prices are a bit too high in this day and economy.

Goff's, good food, but too much extra baggage with the name thoughm for those that remember. Harvey Goff, added so much to his old spot on Lovers Lane, people went there to eat burgers, BUT ALSO to see his show. Berading customers, that was part of the show. He entertained me for years!

This is going to "date me," but does anyone remember the Julius Berger? Wow! Across from North Dallas High School in 1967, Orange Julius was my hangout! OJ made the very best hamburgers I have ever had--Period!!! Why did they go away? Love Dallas Circa 1966-67!

Gosh ,I used to love going there, great burgers, but Harvey would scare everyone to death when he would pull out his 45,pistol, now the Bushes will head on over and everyone will be safe..Harvey sold out 3 years ago, still great burgers, but... lots of drama...A/T, Great bullet proff hamburgers.

Made my first pilgrimage to the Goff's across from our new offices today. Didn't really get it. Burger itself was serviceable, but not special. Cheese was shredded, not sliced, which seemed weird. Onion rings were good, but not remarkable. North of $10 for fast food lunch seemed a bit steep too. Really slow cranking the food out for a big lunchtime crowd.
