I like their hot sauce, and a nice place to look out at Pegasus Plaza and observe time and space downtown, located in the old 1880's section of Dallas, then again..watch parking, walk if you can and enjoy the view inside the City...A/T,... Urban observer...

Iron Cactus is one my favorite restaurants in Dallas. I believe it was born in Austin, like Chuy's was, and has made a name for itself in the heart of downtown. The food is typical but great and inexpensive. The bars are aplenty and the location is devine. I've been to Iron Cactus at least 10 times within the last 12 months and have yet to sit in every dining room. There are options for all tastes and balconies with great views for days. Every time I have guests come in from out of town, I take them to Iron Cactus for a little piece of Dallas.

Many, many visits due to proximity.
More Tex Mex is not really necessary, but here it is reasonable. No draft beers. Margaritas are insultingly small.
The variety of spaces is interesting if somewhat disquieting. Overlooking Pegasus Square is ok.
Desserts are excellent. Service always accommodating.
Sunday brunches are worth a visit, in at least the wait is minimal, if the buffet is somewhat uninspired.
Sure, go. Why not?
