Janette Kennedy Gallery

1409 South Lamar Street, Dallas, 75215
(at the South Side on Lamar)

Phone: 214-485-7015

The Janette Kennedy Gallery, formerly the South Side Gallery, was established in 2002 as a means for local artists, the Artist's Residency Program and the community at large to exhibit their works. The gallery differs from other galleries in that it does not administer a fee for use of the space nor has it charged a commission on the pieces an artist sells. The gallery gives the community artists the opportunity to express themselves, where they might otherwise have a hard time finding exhibit space. It offers the professional artists and national exhibits a unique venue with character and energy in soulful South Dallas.

Artists who have exhibited in the Gallery come from all disciplines and have included medias such as sculpture, ceramics, video, woodcuts, paintings, drawings, music, graphic art, found object and site specific installations, from fine art to contemporary art. Gallery exhibits rotate every week to two weeks which ensures a diverse portfolio of work.

Hours may vary depending on the current exhibit.
