4/5I had lunch at Koto a few days ago and liked it. I selected one of the bento specials on the lunch menu (not served bento box style) that include miso soup, salad and an entree. I didn't detect any dashi flavor in the miso soup but the right amount of wakame, tofo and miso were present. The salad of crisp iceberg lettuce and radishes came in a chilled bowl that made me think the salad was pre-made. It was topped with a pleasant (but shockingly orange) ginger-miso dressing. The entree was a huge, fragrant bowl of stir-fried udon noodles with chicken, mushrooms and julienned kamaboko. The kamaboko made up for the ocean flavor I missed in the soup. Total bill was $9 and a good value.
I was a bit disappointed that the place was nearly empty: maybe two other parties where being served. I saw several people using the parking in front of Koto for Twisted Root, which looked packed.
I''m calling this a solid 3: it is a restaurant that I enjoyed and would recommend to friends.

4/5Koto is in the newer development at US75 and Campbell. There’s lots of stuff coming in there lately, so it’ll be interesting to see how things play out. I’d be curious to see what it’s like during a happy hour. They have a nifty little water wall piece as soon as you enter the restaurant. It seems like their main staple are bento boxes. Both times I’ve been I’ve stuck to the orange chicken and I’ll have to say that it was pretty good. If you work in the area, I’d say it’s worth a go trying out at least once. It’s a pretty neat place!

1/5Kinado just opened today (replacing Koto Fusion) so I figured I'd try it out. I got the teriyaki beef bento box for $13 which I thought was a pretty high price. The food was pretty good overall There was a nice presentation and the spring rolls were the best I've ever had. The Teriyaki beef was subpar though. It was very lean and stringy beef, certainly not $13 worth.
If they lowered the price to something more reasonable I'd probably come back, but this place isn't worth the price of admission.

2/5Went here with a few work buddies and had a pretty good time. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and the decorations are nice. The Sushi was superior, but the price was too high for lunch. I might bring a date or a high class client here for lunch though.
