La Aldea
1001 West Jefferson Boulevard
Dallas, TX, 75208
(NW corner of Polk and Jefferson)
La Aldea takes over the space in Oak Cliff previously, briefly occupied by Loretta's and, before that, Casa Francisco, which sat at that corner of Jefferson for many years. The food is regional Mexican, from different areas: open-faced-tacos from Yucatan and Veracruz, mole from Puebla, and tacos with unusual, upscale toppings such as mushrooms and peppers from Oaxaca.
