The ceviche is the best in Dallas! So fresh and delish!

I can't put my finger on why I used to like this place and it's original location over on...well, La Calle Doce (12th St to you Gringos)...cause I think it's a real bummer now. The food seems overcooked and for the premium prices, chock full of wasteful filler -- like the half plate of cucumber that comes with the fish tacos. The atmosphere, however, is lively and it seems like a good place to grab a drink at the bar. I like what they've done with the decor since the fire but the food has declined. How come Tex-Mex quality is so often inversely proportional to its price?

A generic strip mall store front belies the decor inside. Although it can't match the feel of the original, the blue floor and other adornments make you feel like you're in a nicer building than you actually are.

Food was great, as always. Had shrimp grilled in garlic -- generous heapings of garlic remained on the shrimp after serving, for which my taste buds thanked me. Mixed veggies were surprisingly good, and not just because of the different choices than most other places give you. Something about the flavor made me go back to them more often than I might.
