Best bar in Dallas.

Take your furry friend on a Sunday afternoon and let the take a break while you enjoy the excellent portabello sandwich. The drinks are strong and cheap and the vibe is great.

Service is prompt and exceptionally friendly.

The space is complete crackhouse filled with interesting old whatevers including your arcade favorites and Schlitz adverts.

The first time we visit, we wonder about the car. The second time, we realize what the valet at Fuse did to the Audi, and feel better about the whole thing.

Definitely a don't miss.

This place is a breath of fresh polluted air. Warm hospitality with tongue in cheap down home to earth down alternative mindset basics… this place has the ‘your bar’ attitude.

My dog Honey gets to play with the other hounds while I have a frigid beer and charming conversations with whoever is there. The food is surprisingly delicious and everything is affordable and served with the attention to detail one wishes they found in more ‘conventional’ bar and grills and/or mid range restaurants.

Like someone who dates someone and then falls in love, this place went from being someplace I went to occasionally to my absolute #1 favorite, in part because it is an eclectic crowd; all ages, all sizes, all types. In a city that is so UN-cross demographic cultural, what’s not to like?

Vive la Seth.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed <s>The PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™</s> Lee Harvey's yet!

Even though I've only ever had the grilled cheese (which is amazingly delicious with their jalapenos, I must say), it comes with an amazing pickle. Would go back just for the pickles, to be perfectly candid.

Concur with DC on the 1st impression. You quickly forget about that once inside, though. Definitely one of the best vibes near downtown, imo, and their live music is typically worth at least the price of a few beers (this is where I found beloved <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/bands/hunter-sullivan/">Hunter Sullivan</a>, who I try to see every time he returns).

Service sometimes isn't as prompt as other places because of the size of the yard and amount of peeps. I'm more than happy to get up and grab it myself if I'm parched. Not to mention, servers are pretty interesting to talk to when it's slow.

All in all, one of my favs.

Last night Lee Harvey's dished me up the best hamburger I've ever had, bar none.

Order it rare and it won't be. It will come out perfect.

Even though that is way out in that part of the old Dallas, it is an amazing place to come to, as far a funk is concerned with the South Lamar street thing...

And nestled in an old W.P.A building from the 1930's...7 years ago this kind of thing could not of happend, and I like the food too, the Chef is Lee Harvey ok..while the adventure's,like going to the middle east and hidding at some retreat....A/T,.. Out in the wilds of Old South Dallas,... adventure is fun..while watch what you do...

Place gets too damn packed, then everyone looks at you like a weirdo when you're walking through the hovel trying to find a stool to purloin. Only time to go is in the middle of the day, in which case it's a terrific place to get a burger and drunk, then go play with the pit bulls.

alexander troup, verified:

Well Cho, we should of crossed paths, but your right, it does get too popular.....

pabloindallas, anonymous:

Cho, "Purloining a stool" is not the best way to express yourself.

Pavel Lishin, verified:

cho: I visited last Saturday around midnight, and yeah, it was incredibly packed. I don't remember it usually being that way, though.

I am suppost to go there this friday to see Barry Kodda and his band, if you folks can find a safe ride come on by..A/T....
