The Hawaiian plate lunch, known for years by Hawaiian locals and visitors, is the comfort food of the islands. Hawaii-based chain L&L has spread its Hawaiian Barbecue brand of Hawaiian plate lunches across the U.S. with over 175 locations in 10 states including California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and New York. Hawaiian Barbecue is L&L's brand of unique fusion of Asian and American dishes prepared with unique island flare.
The traditional Hawaiian plate lunch consists of two servings of rice, a serving of macaroni salad, and a generous serving of a hot entrée. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue® plate lunches are famous for large portion sizes, freshness, and unique blend of tastes found in dishes like Chicken katsu (breaded chicken with special dipping sauce), “Loco Moco” (hamburger patties, two eggs, & gravy), and mahi mahi (w/tartar sauce).
