Maguire’s is surprisingly a place where you can really stretch your dollar. It was sad to see their Uptown location close, but whenever we went it never really seemed to be particularly packed.
I was initially leery that the Cajun chicken penne was going to be too spicy, and the waiter even said it might have some kick. But it was actually pretty good and wasn’t that spicy at all. I’ve also had the pork chops sans the mustard gravy and it came out good as well.
Sundays during dinner they also feature half price wine up to $100, so if you’re a big wine lover, go for the gusto and think big... and spend half! It’ll give you a chance to try something you might not otherwise!
